About

Lulu Wentworth is a London-based multidisciplinary artist whose practice spans woodworking, lino printing and mixed media. With a background in fashion, she brings over two decades of experience as a stylist, consultant and editor, following her graduation from Central Saint Martins.

Her creative path has evolved through an ongoing interest in the mind, symbolism and inner landscapes, including time spent training as a hypnotherapist. Returning to art became a way to reconnect with a more intuitive, tactile way of making, working with materials as much as ideas.

Lulu’s work explores the spaces we often avoid: the uncertain, the uncomfortable and the unseen. Through carving, printing, and constructed forms, she engages with themes of transformation, duality and perception. Rather than focusing on darkness as something to fear, she approaches it as a place of inquiry, where meaning, tension, and beauty can coexist.

Drawing on mythology, cultural symbolism, and personal narrative, her imagery sits between the familiar and the ambiguous. There is a quiet pull between softness and unease, precision and imperfection, inviting the viewer to look a little closer.

At its core, her practice is about attention, what we choose to face, what we turn away from and what might emerge when we stay with the unknown just a little longer.
